Part 1: The Road to Rennes le Chateau

SOUTHERN FRANCE, 1209-1244 AD: the Catholic Church exterminates some 100,000 Albigensians (Cathars) in the Langdocian region of Southern France. The last Cathars (approx. 200) are burned at the stake there on Montsegur. Some say four of them escaped with a treasure behind the mountain fortress via its unscaleable cliffs.

2007 AD: Free 3D Chat artists from X-ROBOT.COM Colin James McKinlay (X) and Peter le Cochon set out to look for empirical evidence that four Cathars transported a legendary treasure from a fortification at Montsegur to nearby Rennes le Chateau (where it was possibly discovered by Abbot Francis Berenger Sauniere).
